Pune's Charity Commissioner's office has filed a case against the trustees of Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital following the death of seven-months pregnant Tanisha Bhise on March 31, 2025. Bhise was allegedly denied admission for emergency care and transportation due to a failure to immediately pay a Rs 10 lakh deposit. She later delivered twins at another facility but died from postnatal complications. An inquiry found the hospital at fault for lapses in providing medical treatment and transportation.
