Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and police foiled a cattle smuggling attempt near Siliguri, recovering 19 buffaloes and arresting three individuals, including a suspected smuggler. The operation, initiated by a tip-off, involved a truck ramming an SSB vehicle, injuring two constables. The arrested individuals, identified as the truck driver, helper, and a suspected smuggler, confessed to illegally transporting cattle from Naxalbari to Assam without valid documents. The police are investigating further to uncover other members of the smuggling ring.
