
Nashik's Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended Forest Range Officer Kailas Sonawane and Forest Guard Sunil Tongare for allegedly accepting a bribe. The officials reportedly demanded Rs. 50,000 from a complainant whose sand-laden truck was seized under the Forest Act. Sonawane allegedly accepted Rs. 35,000, while Tongare took Rs. 10,000, with the remaining amount to be paid after the truck's release. Both were caught red-handed at the Harsul Forest Range office.
