A newborn baby girl was discovered abandoned in a bag behind a shop in Rabale, Navi Mumbai, by a local resident early on December 28. Alerted by the resident, police rescued the infant and admitted her to Rajmata Jijau Hospital, where her condition is stable. Rabale police have registered a case against an unknown person and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the individual responsible for the abandonment.
