A sub-inspector, Purendra Kumar Singh, was killed in Bihar's Banka district when a speeding truck ran him over while he was on duty checking vehicles. The incident occurred near Dhoraiya Chowk as the SI signaled the truck to stop. The driver and cleaner were arrested after a chase, and the vehicle was seized. The SI was rushed to the hospital but declared dead. A guard of honor was held before his body was handed over for last rites. Police are investigating the incident.
