
A special CBI court in Chandigarh has rejected the bail plea of suspended Punjab DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar, arrested in an alleged bribery case. Bhullar's counsel argued that the challan had been filed and the accused had been in custody for 77 days. The CBI had previously arrested Bhullar for allegedly accepting illegal gratification from a businessman. Recoveries from his residence included significant cash, gold, luxury watches, property documents, and firearms.
