An Arunachal Pradesh man, Karsang Tania, has been sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment for the 2018 murder of his wife. A district court found him guilty of killing his wife with an axe during an argument fueled by suspicion of an extramarital affair. The court relied on Tania's judicial confession, medical evidence, and circumstantial evidence, including the disposal of the body, to reach its verdict. The defence's plea of private defence was rejected.
