Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials have busted an international gold smuggling syndicate operating from Dubai and Bangladesh. Searches in Delhi and Agartala led to the seizure of approximately 29.2 kg of gold, valued at Rs 40 crore, and Rs 2.9 crore in cash. Four syndicate members have been arrested. The group allegedly smuggled gold into India via the Indo-Bangladesh border and transported it to Delhi using domestic cargo services.
