A 44-year-old driver in Mumbai's Jogeshwari West was set on fire on January 10 following a dispute over cigarette payment. The victim, Jayaram Yadav, intervened when his nephew argued with the accused, Nagendra Yadav. After initial altercations, Nagendra allegedly poured a flammable substance on Jayaram and set him ablaze. Bystanders extinguished the flames, and Jayaram was hospitalized with serious burn injuries. Police have registered an attempt to murder case against Nagendra Yadav, who is reportedly intoxicated during the incident.
