Police in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, have arrested a meat seller named Salim for allegedly stabbing a pet dog to death. The incident occurred Friday evening when the dog reportedly strayed into Salim's meat shop. A complaint was filed by a local resident, Bhupendra Sharma, stating Salim and another individual, Wasim, attacked the dog with a sharp weapon. Salim has been arrested under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, and further investigation is ongoing.
