Punjab Police's Anti-Gangster Task Force has arrested two shooters and an accomplice from Howrah, West Bengal, in connection with the December 15, 2025 murder of kabaddi promoter Rana Balachauria. The operation spanned multiple states, including Punjab, Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal, and Sikkim. The arrested individuals, identified as Karan Pathak, Tarandeep Singh, and Akashdeep, are alleged to be involved as shooters and logistic support providers for a foreign-based handler. This brings the total arrests in the case to five, with efforts ongoing to apprehend remaining associates.
