Jalandhar police arrested a 25-year-old MA Sociology student, Mohammad Tanveer, with 15.2 kg of charas. The Bihar native was apprehended during a checking drive and allegedly has links to a Nepal drug trafficking network. Tanveer reportedly brought the charas from Nepal, concealing it in a suitcase and a sack, and was awaiting a buyer in Jalandhar. He was previously involved in liquor smuggling.
