The Excise Department has initiated a crackdown on eateries in Kharar and Mohali serving alcohol illegally. A special enforcement drive led by Excise Inspector Ashok Kumar found Makhan Fish Corner on Kharar-Landran Road openly serving liquor. A case was registered against the proprietor under the Excise Act, with a warning issued against future violations. The department plans to continue these inspections.
