Four individuals accused in the death of singer Zubeen Garg have filed bail pleas, with the Kamrup (Metro) District and Sessions Court scheduling the next hearing for January 17. The accused include Garg's bandmate, cousin, and two personal security officers. The singer's wife, Garima Garg, has urged the Assam government to appoint a strong prosecution team and establish a fast-track court to expedite the trial, citing the engagement of powerful defense lawyers by the accused. Charges framing has been postponed to the same date.
