Five individuals have been arrested in Faridabad for allegedly defrauding a doctor of ₹1.15 crore using a fake stock market investment app. The accused reportedly contacted the victim via WhatsApp in early 2025, convincing him to download a dubious application. The fraud was uncovered when the doctor was asked to deposit an additional ₹50 lakh to access his initial investment. Police apprehended the suspects from Rajasthan following a complaint and technical surveillance.
