In Kharar, a man and his father were assaulted by neighbors early on January 1. The victims allege the attackers, armed with sharp weapons, assaulted them, stole a gold chain, and issued threats. Both injured individuals received medical treatment at Civil Hospital, Kharar. Police have registered a case against six individuals, including three named suspects, under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
