A junior resident doctor from King George's Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow, Dr. Rameez Uddin Nayak, has been arrested after being on the run. He is accused of sexual exploitation, including rape on the promise of marriage, forced abortion, and coercive religious conversion of a fellow medical student. A reward of ₹50,000 was announced for his capture. Investigations revealed similar allegations from another student, and his parents were also arrested for their alleged involvement in pressuring the victims.
