
Sabarimala chief priest Kandararu Rajeevaru was hospitalized after being arrested and remanded to judicial custody in connection with a gold theft case. He was shifted from the sub-jail to a government hospital reporting uneasiness, fatigue, and dizziness. Investigators allege his involvement in the replating of gold plates at the Ayyappa Temple. Rajeevaru, from a revered priestly family, stated he had nothing to say regarding the charges when approached by reporters.
