A retired Mumbai police sub-inspector has filed a case against Sudhir Madhukar Patil for allegedly defrauding him of Rs 22.40 lakh. The accused, introduced as an SRA property dealer, promised a residential flat and commercial shop. The complainant transferred Rs 45 lakh for these, receiving a partial refund of Rs 20 lakh for the shop. Patil then allegedly paid Rs 10,000 monthly for 36 months for the residential unit but failed to provide the promised property.
