In Mangaluru, Karnataka, a migrant labourer from Jharkhand, identified as Diljan Ansari, was assaulted by four individuals who wrongly accused him of being Bangladeshi. The assailants allegedly used objects to injure Ansari's head before fleeing. A local woman intervened, and police have identified the suspects, reportedly associated with a right-wing organization, who are now absconding. Police confirmed Ansari is an Indian citizen and have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
