Police in Raigad have arrested twelve individuals, including two women, in connection with the daylight murder of Shiv Sena party worker Mangesh Sadashiv Kalokhe in Khopoli on December 26. Authorities revealed the killing was a pre-planned contract murder worth ₹20 lakh, motivated by personal and political rivalry. The main conspirator, Ravindra Parshuram Devkar, allegedly hired contract killers through an intermediary. The victim was attacked with swords, sickles, and an axe shortly after dropping his daughters at school.
