A Delhi court has accepted the CBI's closure report in a disproportionate assets case against former deputy resident commissioner Bhartendu Shandilya and his wife. The CBI had registered an FIR in October 2023, alleging assets worth approximately Rs 2.21 crore against an income of Rs 1.63 crore during 2012-2019. However, further investigation recalculated the assets and income, leading the CBI to conclude the disproportionate assets were minimal, prompting the closure report.
