Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are planning a two-year leadership training program to prepare select faculty members for future directorships. Led by IIT Bombay, the initiative aims to train 300-350 high-performing faculty based on academic and research credentials. The government is reviewing the proposal, which may involve Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) in designing or supporting the curriculum. The program will focus on behavioral, functional, and domain competencies, emphasizing a student-centric and collaborative approach.
