Rajasthan has mandated daily newspaper reading for at least 10 minutes in all government schools as part of morning assemblies. This initiative aims to enhance students' reading habits, vocabulary, general awareness, and analytical skills regarding current affairs. Schools will subscribe to Hindi and English newspapers, with costs covered by the Rajasthan School Education Council. The program also includes identifying new words and discussing editorials and major developments, mirroring a similar move by Uttar Pradesh.
