Professor Jai Prakash Saini has been appointed the new Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University for a three-year term. The appointment was made by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel. Professor Saini, previously the Vice Chancellor of Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur, expressed his intention to assess LU's departments to strengthen its academic quality and research.
