Maharashtra's School Education Department has issued new guidelines to reduce student stress, applicable to both schools and private coaching classes. These regulations, prompted by Supreme Court directions and rising concerns, mandate a five-hour daily coaching limit, weekly holidays, and the appointment of qualified counsellors in institutions with over 100 students. District-level committees will be formed to address complaints, and coaching centers must establish grievance redressal mechanisms and prominently display helpline numbers.
