Maharashtra has established a new state-level vigilance committee, chaired by the Education Commissioner, to enhance oversight of Class 10 and 12 board examinations. This initiative aims to strengthen the 'copy-free exam' campaign by implementing measures like CCTV surveillance, drone monitoring in sensitive areas, and flying squads. District-level committees will also conduct on-site inspections to prevent malpractices and ensure a fair examination environment. Photocopy shops near centers will be closed during exam hours, with strict action mandated against any irregularities.
