Uttar Pradesh Inaugurates State's First Braille Library in Lucknow

Uttar Pradesh has launched its first Braille library at Dr Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University in Lucknow, featuring over 4,000 books covering 54 undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The initiative aims to promote inclusive education and empower persons with disabilities, aligning with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision. The library, located in the Swami Vivekananda Central Library, also includes a reading room for over 150 students and plans to expand its collection to 10,000 books. The facility will be accessible to individuals outside the university through a membership system.
