Excel Entertainment, the production banner co-founded by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, is entering a minority-stake partnership with Universal Music Group. This deal, described as the largest of its kind for an Indian production house, aims to strengthen Universal's presence in the Indian market and open global avenues for Excel's content. The collaboration aligns with the vision of creating Indian stories for global audiences. An official announcement is expected, with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis slated to attend. Excel Entertainment, celebrating its 25th year, will retain creative control and a majority equity stake.
