Catholic priest Guilherme Peixoto, known as Padre Guilherme, performed a DJ set in a Beirut nightclub, drawing 2,000 attendees. While his music aims to express faith and connect with youth, a small group of Lebanese Christians, including clergy, filed a complaint, alleging distortion of Christian customs. The event proceeded after a judge rejected the complaint. Peixoto, who has received papal blessings for his music, stated his intention is to bring the church outside its traditional setting and asked critics to pray for him if they are uncomfortable.
