The planned re-release of actor Vijay's 2016 film 'Theri' has been postponed from its January 15th slot. Producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu cited requests from other filmmakers aiming for the Pongal festival window as the reason. This decision follows the delay of Vijay's upcoming film 'Jana Nayagan,' which is entangled in a censor certification dispute and legal battles, including a stay on a Madras High Court order. The postponement of 'Theri' aims to avoid box office clashes and allow other films to secure release dates.
