Production has begun on Season 3 of the crime-drama web series Raktanchal, currently filming in Lucknow and Varanasi. The new season will continue the story of gang wars and political ambition set in 1980s Purvanchal. Actors Kranti Prakash Jha and Nikitin Dheer are set to return. Director Ritam Srivastav stated the season will focus on revenge and politics, with increased intensity and action, moving away from emotional subplots. The shoot commenced on December 14 and is expected to conclude in February.
