
Arunachal Pradesh writer Subi Taba has won the Ramnath Goenka Sahitya Samman for Best Fiction 2025 for her short story collection 'Tales from the Dawn-Lit Mountains'. The award, instituted by The New Indian Express Group, was presented in Chennai by Vice President CP Radhakrishnan. Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein congratulated Taba, highlighting the recognition as a proud moment for the state and a milestone for Northeast literature. The collection was praised for its evocative prose, exploration of memory and resilience, and representation of Arunachal's culture.
