Producer Mukesh Bhatt has clarified that the release of "Awarapan 2" has been postponed from April to May-June due to lead actor Emraan Hashmi's on-set accident and subsequent surgery, which requires him to avoid action for 45 days. Bhatt refuted speculation that the delay was to avoid competition with upcoming films "Dhurandhar 2" and "Toxic," stating he is "not scared" of these releases. A 20-day shooting schedule remains, to be completed in Malaysia after Hashmi's recovery.
