Karan Johar is reportedly set to direct a grand family drama in 2026, his eighth directorial venture. The film, described as his biggest scale project to date, is said to be in the same emotional and thematic vein as his 2001 hit Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Pre-production is slated for mid-2026, with filming by year-end. The project will feature two male and two female leads, and while not officially confirmed, speculation suggests it might be titled Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham 2.
