Singer and actor Prashant Tamang, 43, passed away on January 11, 2026, due to a cardiac arrest. Tamang, a former Kolkata Police officer, gained national fame through his music and acting career. He is survived by his wife, Geeta Thapa (Martha Aley), and their young daughter, Ariah. Tamang and Thapa met on an international flight where she worked as a flight attendant. They married in a private ceremony in 2011 and welcomed their daughter in 2022.
