Vijayawada is set to host the three-day 'Amaravati Avakaya Festival' starting January 8, 2026, at Haritha Berm Park. Organized by the Tourism Department and Teamwork Arts, the event will showcase Telugu cinema, culture, arts, and literature with free entry. The festival features a grand procession, puppet shows, music, dance, food, and heritage walks. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan are expected at the inauguration, which will also see the launch of houseboats and 'float-and-dine' cruises.
