Filmmaker Muzaffar Ali has donated a rare 35mm print of his 1986 film 'Anjuman' to the NFDC-National Film Archive of India (NFDC-NFAI). The film, shot in Lucknow, was an official selection for the Indian Panorama and screened at international festivals but did not have a wide theatrical release. Ali emphasized the importance of preserving fragile celluloid prints, stating that losing such cinematic beauty to time is terrible and expressing relief that the film will be restored and accessible for future generations. NFDC-NFAI's work under the National Film Heritage Mission was highlighted as crucial for film preservation.
