
Emmy-winning director and producer Tom Cherones, known for his significant contributions to the sitcom 'Seinfeld', has passed away at the age of 86. Cherones died at his home in Florence, Oregon, after a battle with Alzheimer's disease. He directed and produced 81 of 'Seinfeld's' first 86 episodes, earning six Emmy nominations and winning one for Outstanding Comedy Series in 1993. His career also included work on other television shows and a brief acting appearance on 'Seinfeld'.
