In 1925, British newspapers reported that Indian dancer and psychic Sunita Devi became sculptor Jacob Epstein's muse in London. Described as enigmatic and beautiful, she posed for significant works like 'Madonna and Child' and 'Lucifer'. Devi, possibly named Amina or Armina and of Kashmiri Muslim heritage, reportedly left a life of privilege in Bombay with her husband, heir Ahmed Peerbhoy, and their young son. She disappeared from London six years later, leaving behind rumors and sculptures bearing her likeness.
