Pune experienced a significant warming trend, with minimum temperatures rising by approximately 4 degrees Celsius in 24 hours, reaching 14.8°C on January 13. This surge, observed across various weather stations, brought temperatures several degrees above normal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) attributes this rise to a partial eastward shift of anticyclone winds, leading to moisture incursion and cloudy nights. Daytime temperatures also increased, with Shivajinagar recording its highest maximum temperature for the day. The IMD anticipates temperatures to remain stable for the next 48 hours.
