A 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck southern and central Mexico on Friday, with its epicenter near San Marcos in Guerrero state. The tremor caused landslides, damaged a hospital, and led to people evacuating buildings. At least two deaths were reported: a woman whose home collapsed and another person who fell while evacuating. The earthquake interrupted President Claudia Sheinbaum's press briefing, and over 500 aftershocks were recorded.
