Southern Railway has announced train diversions and rescheduling in the Madurai Division for multiple dates in January 2026. These changes are due to a fixed time corridor block implemented for infrastructure and maintenance works. Several long-distance trains, including the Guruvayur Express and Nagercoil-Mumbai CSMT Express, will be diverted via alternative routes, skipping certain stations while gaining additional stoppages.
