A significant landslide occurred on the Srinagar-Baramulla-Uri highway in north Kashmir on Friday, disrupting traffic and causing commuters to flee falling debris. The incident, captured on camera, involved large rocks and soil sliding onto National Highway-1. Authorities are working to clear the road. This event coincides with extreme winter weather in the Kashmir Valley, including a cold wave, fog, and snowfall in higher altitudes, during the harsh Chilla-e-Kalan period.
