Minimum temperatures in Jammu and Kashmir have dropped below 0°C, and Uttarakhand recorded temperatures between 0°C and 5°C. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a 2-3°C drop in minimum temperatures for Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi over the next two days, with cold wave conditions expected in several regions. Heavy rainfall is predicted for Tamil Nadu and Kerala between January 9-11, while dense fog warnings are in effect for Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh from January 7-9.
