
Kashmir Valley is experiencing severe cold conditions, with most areas recording sub-zero night temperatures. Sonamarg was the coldest place at minus 10.1°C, while Gulmarg recorded minus 7.6°C and Pahalgam minus 7.2°C. Srinagar's minimum temperature rose to minus 1.6°C. The region is in the midst of 'Chilla-e-Kalan', a period of extreme cold, though plains have not yet seen snowfall. Similar cold waves are affecting parts of Haryana and Punjab.
