The Coimbatore Corporation is developing a new surface parking area near Thomas Park junction at Race Course to alleviate parking congestion. This one-acre facility, costing 99 lakh, will accommodate over 80 cars and is expected to open within a month. Additionally, proposals are underway for three multi-level car parking facilities at Race Course, Cross Cut Road, and Raja Street, with estimated costs of 9.5 crore each, aiming to significantly increase vehicle capacity in these busy areas.
