
The Pleated Inkcap mushroom, scientifically identified as Parasola plicatilis, has been documented for the first time in Arunachal Pradesh. Observed at the ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra farm in Longding, the delicate, non-edible mushroom plays a vital ecological role in decomposing organic matter and contributing to nutrient cycling. Its presence indicates a biologically active and fertile soil system.
