Uttar Pradesh is experiencing intensifying cold and dense fog, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Strong cold winds and persistent fog have significantly lowered day and night temperatures, creating a severe chill. An orange alert for dense fog has been issued for 34 districts, and a cold day warning for eight districts, including Lucknow. Temperatures are expected to drop further over the next three days, with some areas recording minimum temperatures around 6 degrees Celsius.
