An old iron bridge near Tai village in Leparada district collapsed on Wednesday while workers were dismantling it. A vehicle used for scrap lifting fell, injuring some workers who received hospital treatment. Authorities confirmed no casualties and stated the Basar-Daporijo road remains open as a new bridge is already in use. The old bridge was being dismantled following a tender process.
